I was assigned to work on a large opportunity with my manager, however things turned bad from first day after working on unnecessary items and not focusing on items listed by the on-site team. It did not stop there, and the things were getting worse for me as each day passed by and to keep it short, here are few highlights:
- No proper anticipation of work and ending up in redundant work: My manager with his idiotic ideas will produce ten different items to show off his innovative lead and his learning’s from past experiences. However, the on-site team will acknowledge it initially and later will request for plain simple tasks completed to meet client requirements.
- Micromanaging things ending up with additional work: My manager will give different items to work on and after an hour he will call again to check on the tasks and he will not stop. By checking on the work, he will also suggest some new additional work to be completed in brief time.
